The main challenge we faced was to create a match between the user's approach to the appliance in the real world and through a digital interface.

An ecosystem of household appliances requires a great deal of rationalization of the functionalities. Working in an Agile Framework, the information architecture of the product has to be scalable.

Analyzing the approach of other companies to the IoT world has been essential to understanding the standards of use in this sector. Analyzing the pain points and strengths of our competitors was an essential part of our journey as designers.

Pen and paper is just the best way to start a quick first design process. It helps to think and experiment without thinking about mistakes. Then we make hand sketched Miro's user-flow and We review them with the developers and clients for feedback and make any needed changes.

Once the concepts are approved, my job was to transform the concepts in high-fi mockups by making them consistent with the elements of the design system. Part of my job was also to take care of the maintenance of the design system.

After about six months on the project, I became IoT Quality Assurance Tester. My role was: 
- improving communication between the design team and the development team 
- provide feedback on the UX both from the point of view of the user's needs and technical feasibility
- testing the application to ensure compliance between the design and developed product
- managing the development release through the agile framework
